UC Professor Awarded the Falk Medical Research Trust Catalyst Award

Congratulations to UC Professor Pankaj Desai for receiving the Falk Medical Research Trust Catalyst Award! Dr. Desai’s project is titled “Clinical and Correlative Translational Studies for Repurposing Letrozole as a Novel Therapeutic for Glioblastoma: Proof of Efficacy in Combination with Metronomic Temozolomide”

The Catalyst Research Award Program provides up to $350,000 for one to two years to support translational research projects that address critical scientific and therapeutic roadblocks and is especially interested in curing disease and reducing suffering. This award is designed to enable planning and development of projects, teams, tools, techniques, and management infrastructure necessary to successfully compete for a subsequent multi-year $1M Transformational Award.
