Grant Writing Workshops
The Office of Research is once again offering several grant-writing workshops and seminars. Online registration for these sessions will open in February.

The seminars and workshops, presented by Grant Writers’ Seminars and Workshops LLC,  are limited to eligible individuals from the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the Cincinnati Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. 

Write Winning Grant Proposals
8 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 21, 2015
Rieveschl Auditorium, Vontz Center for Molecular Studies
A one-day seminar limited to faculty and mentored clinician/scientists preparing to write a competitive extramural research grant proposal.
Fee: $150.00
No prerequisite. 
Workbook included with registration.

NIH Career Development Award Proposals 
8:30 a.m. to noon, April 22, 2015
Rieveschl Auditorium, Vontz Center for Molecular Studies
A half-day seminar limited to faculty and mentored clinician/scientists preparing to write a NIH Career Development Award proposal (K and F32 grants). 
No fee.
Prerequisite: Must have attended Writing Winning Grant Proposals seminar in April 2014 or register and attend that seminar in April 2015.
            
NEW—Grant Writing: Getting Started 
1 to 5 p.m., April 22, 2015
Rieveschl Auditorium, Vontz Center for Molecular Studies
A half-day seminar for new/early-stage investigators, graduate students or postdocs with no prior grant writing experience. The seminar will explain how to begin the grant-writing process and will cover basic information, such as how to develop a fundable idea, the fundamentals of a grant, how to write for reviewers and preparation of the application. 
Fee: $100.00. 
No prerequisite. 
Workbook included with registration.
            
Additionally, a one-on-one competitive Intensive Grant Proposal Writing workshop will be available beginning fall 2015. Faculty who have participated in the all-day seminar in 2013, 2014 or 2015 will be eligible to apply for this program. Applications will be accepted after April 21, 2015. Faculty must contact Dawn O'Neill at dawn.oneill@uc.edu after April 21, 2015, if interested. Online registration is not available for this workshop.
